IHOP’s 9th Annual Pancake Day is set for Tuesday, March 4th.
Come to any IHOP in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro area to receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes from 7am-10am. While the short stacks are free, IHOP does ask you to consider donating to the Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center.
It is IHOP’s goal to reach $3 million in donations this year. Since the first National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP has raised nearly $13 million dollars for charities nationwide.
Fun Facts about National Pancake Day:
-The free pancakes served on National Pancake Day 2013 would create a stack nearly 13 miles high.
-Since 2006, IHOP has served more than 22 million free pancakes on National Pancake Day.
-Pancake Day is a tradition that dates back several centuries. The English prepared for fasting during Lent, and strict rules prohibited dairy consumption during that time. Pancakes were made to finish the supply of eggs, milk and butter before these products spoiled.
See you in the morning!
